No. KidHop is not a rideshare app. You won't be matched with a different driver every day. KidHop works with vetted transportation operators on consistent, scheduled routes — so your child rides with the same driver, at the same time, every day.
KidHop is currently launching its pilot program in Houston, Texas. We are starting small and intentionally — 5 families — before expanding to additional areas.

KidHop partners exclusively with small, licensed transportation companies — not individual gig workers. Every driver in our network holds a commercial driver's license, operates a properly insured vehicle, and has experience transporting children. KidHop vets each partner before they are matched with families.
Our transportation partners use small buses and vans that are properly licensed and insured for passenger transport. These are not personal vehicles — they are commercial transportation vehicles operated by professional companies.
You will receive a notification at pickup and again at drop-off for every ride. You will never be left wondering where your child is.
KidHop communicates proactively. If anything is running off schedule, you'll be notified before you have to ask. During the pilot, founder JodyAnn Baker is personally involved in route oversight and parent communication.
That's completely normal. Before your child's first ride, we'll walk you through exactly what to expect — who the driver is, what the vehicle looks like, what time pickup will be, and how drop-off works. We want your child to feel comfortable, not surprised.
KidHop offers two service levels. AM or PM only (morning drop-off or afternoon pickup) is $299/month or $74.75/week. AM & PM (both morning drop-off and afternoon pickup) is $399/month or $99.75/week. There are no per-ride fees or hidden charges.
Payment details will be confirmed during your onboarding call once you are selected for the pilot. We will share all billing information before you commit to anything.
Yes. The AM or PM plan covers a single direction of your choice — either morning drop-off at school or afternoon pickup and delivery home.
We know schedules aren't always perfectly predictable. We'll discuss your specific scheduling needs during the onboarding call and work out the best approach for your family.
Not during the pilot phase. We want families to feel confident in the service before making any long-term commitment. We'll be transparent about all terms before anything is finalized.
Starting small is intentional. With 5 families, KidHop can give each one personal attention, monitor every route closely, and fix any issues quickly. The pilot is about doing this right before doing it at scale.
Pilot families will have the opportunity to continue service as KidHop expands. Founding families lock in current pricing as rates are adjusted for future growth.
After you join the pilot, KidHop will review your submission and reach out directly if your location and schedule are a good fit. If selected, we'll schedule a quick 10-minute call to confirm details before anything is finalized.
You'll remain on the pilot list and will be contacted as new routes are added. The pilot is the beginning — not the only opportunity to join KidHop.
